Visiting Spain
Getting to Spain is both easy and generally inexpensive and we hope the
information here will help you find the best route to our region.
Two major airports located in Valencia and Alicante service the North
Costa Blanca. From our experience, Valencia is a better option for two
reasons. The planes tend to fly at a more civilised time, mid morning
and afternoon; it is also far less busy than Alicante, which carries a
lot of passengers to Benidorm, attracting long queues.
The two major 'low cost' airlines servicing these airports are Ryanair
and Easyjet. Both offers very competitive prices if you book online. Again,
from our own customer feedback, Ryanair has more hidden costs than Easyjet.
Always make sure you know the final price before committing to the online
purchase of flight tickets.
It is also advisable to regularly check the price of flights as they
do vary from day-to day. Ryanair advise that the best flights tend to
be 48 days before your desired departure date. Leaving it too late can
result in a fare increase.
